Payment We currently accept cash, Debit, Visa, Mastercard, American Express and personal cheques as in person payment options. You may also pay for treatments, classes and gift certificates with PayPal on our Classes and Gift Certificate pages.
Cancellations When booking an appointment, a treatment room is reserved just for you. Should you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we appreciate 24 hours notice and ask that a minumun of 4 hours notice be given. Failing to show up for a scheduled appointment will result in the treatment being billed in full. This is a common courtesy to our therapists and other clients who are waiting for a cancellation.
Late Arrivals A late arrival may result in a shortened treatment billed at the cost of the originally booked appointment.
Privacy In order to determine the best possible treatment plan, we need to collect information on your personal health history. We handle the collection and safe storage of this information in a manner that is consistent with the requirements of the massage therapy profession. Our therapists hold in confidence all personal information gathered in the process of providing treatment. In keeping with the guidelines of the massage therapy profession, we shred files after they have been inactive for 5 years. Information provided to our clinic will be shared with other treating medical professionals only with your signed written consent. We do not share mailing lists or email addresses.
Quiet Environment Your cooperation in helping us maintain a quiet environment is appreciated. For the comfort of other clients, please keep conversation levels low and cell phone use discreet.
Special Considerations Please discuss with your therapist any specific allergies, ailments, disabilities or preferences prior to your treatment. We want to make your treatment as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
Gratuities
Gratuities are graciously accepted, however our receipts are made out in the amount of the treatment. This is in keeping with massage therapy standards and is necessary to assist health insurance companies to correctly reimburse treatment fees. Our credit card terminal does not have a tip function - if desired please ask your therapist to add a tip to your total.
Receipts In maintaining high standards of professionalism, our receipts can only be issued in the name of the person having the treatment and cannot be post or back dated.
Health Insurance Coverage Many health insurance plans cover massage therapy although some require a doctor's referral prior to treatment. Please check your insurance plan for details. All of our therapists are fully registered and our receipts list all the information you will need to receive reimbursement from your insurance company.
SGI / WCB / Veteran Affairs Coverage Some of our therapists accept clients who have current claims with these third parties. Upon booking, please state that you are seeking treatment under one of these claims to ensure we collect the information from you that is necessary for us to receive authorization prior to your first appointment.
Contraindications Massage Therapy is generally suitable for everyone, however there are some medical conditions that may require adaptations to your treatment or the approval of your doctor prior to receiving your therapy. If your therapist determines that massage therapy is inappropriate for your medical condition and is unable to provide you with treatment, you will not be billed for your appointment.
